Another month gone by!

It's hard to believe that another month has gone by. It's even harder to believe that 3/4's of 2009 is gone. I guess that that is a good thing because it is in 2010 when I fully get back on my feet.

As I mentioned yesterday, we had company for dinner tonight and it just makes me long to get back into the swing of things all the more. We were talking about singing in the choir. For me it's an outlet because it is so foreign to everything that I do in my daily life. Choir rehearsal is like a relief valve that just allows you to escape for awhile and forget about everything else that is going on in your life for a short period of time. You can attend sports events, concerts, watch television, read, etc. But none of this really gets you involved as does getting involved in how to sing your part well. To me, it's something that all of us should have - mine happens to be that.

It also doesn't help that for a number of reasons the choir is currently barely sustaining life in the base section. I really do yearn to get back.

Other than that, another good day. I advanced forward with my workshop project and will continue advancing tomorrow. Still a long way to go. But, as they say, "Rome wasn't built in a day." I often wonder why it's Rome and not some other city, or a large building, or a large project like the Panama Canal - we'll never know.

So, tomorrow is October 1. The month that I was diagnosed as having leukemia a year ago.

In a few short weeks, the litany of anniversary dates begins...
