Kind of a bummer of a day!
Don't worry, healthwise everything is perfect. But my hard drive crashed on my computer. I hate having to get a new computer and I still have to get a pile of data off the almost useless hard disk, which thank God, appears to be doable. I am reduced to using the notebook computer that I had taken to the hospital during the interim.
Our deacon did visit this morning as was planned and it was nice to see that she is doing so well. It was also very nice to receive communion once more. Over the past 11 months(wow, it's really been that long!), I have received probably communion 7 or 8 times.
I completed part of my basement building project - putting in some shelving. Now I've got to move stuff to the shelves to free up some space for some peg board which I'll have to install. It keeps me busy and it's nice to begin to neaten up the area. More importantly, it keeps me busy and off the streets as they say.
So, I'm merrily looking for a new computer. Truth be told, I'm not too merry about the whole process - but I have no choice. Kind of like getting a bone marrow biopsy!
And, it's finally time to start looking forward to the next doctor's visit. It'll be 6 weeks since the last one - but since I'm doing so well, probably not a big deal.
I also received an e-mail from my church asking if I wished to renew my lay eucharistic minister license. Without hesitation, the answer is yes. But I'll be so rusty when I get back that I won't remember how to do anything!
It's nice to know that they still keep me in their thoughts...
Bob
