Where am I?

That's right! Since my division of the my company has been sold, who do I belong to? Well, to get a definitive answer to the question, I called HR at corporate headquarters. Why not go right to the source? The answer was also definitive - "we don't know!" Well, that certainly clears things up doesn't it?

They recommended that I ask my manager. But, of course, they made that easy by cutting me off completely from the company when I went on long term disability - no company phone, no e-mail account, and no remote access from home. What did I do to deserve this?

I received a phone call from our deacon yesterday. She's doing great and is participating a a clinical trial for a new drug that is supposed to keep her leukemia in permanent remission - here's hoping that it is effective! She'll stop by on Thursday for communion. I look forward to these times. It's nice to that people haven't completely forgot about me!

As I said before, no doctor tomorrow which normally would have been the case because we couldn't get an early morning appointment. So it's next Wednesday and three weeks after that. But there really is nothing to be concerned about - I feel fine.

Tomorrow, however, we are having some friends over for dinner. It's always a treat to have company.

So much for another beautiful fall day...
