It's all about the weather!

Currently there are no health issues on the table so I might as well address the big issue of the day - snow! I would say that we got at least a foot and a half. Probably the biggest snowstorm that we have had in a while. But, when you can stay at home, it's no problem and, here at the condo, they clear it all out for you. So, now we have been totally cleared and we're ready to go.

Yesterday, I went to a neighbor's house to look at the task list that she wished to have done. Nothing major except for some issues with blinds. Those things are the devil's invention when it comes to straightening them out. Everything else is straightforward - some electrical work, painting, a little carpentry, computer work, etc. It'll keep me busy.

As I said above, no health issues, eyesight wise, I think that I am still the same. Is that good or bad? I don't know.

As for other activities, my wife "suggested" that I replace the one shelf in our little laundry area with two - so I did that. As my brother-in-law has said, we squeeze out every last inch of storage that we can.

It's been set up for Sunday to return to my mother-in-law's room to go over her things. Never a happy time - but it's something that has to be done. As I looked at the snow today, all I could think of was how fortunate we were that it didn't snow like this last week! It would have made everything real messy regarding my mother-in-law's wake and funeral.

Like the energizer bunny, I just want to keep going and going and going...

It's been quiet!

What else is there to have happen after the passing of my mother-in-law? Though we did go out to dinner on Friday night with friends and had friends over for dinner last night. Friends are one of the greastest gifts in life and we were fortunate to be able to get together which has helped us to try to get back on track with our lives.

But it can never be the same track, obviously, because my mother-in-law is no longer there to share the trip.

We did go to the nearest IKEA store yesterday - which is in Massachusetts. Looking for one thing, we spent a bunch of money on other things. But it was another step in getting out and getting on. All in all, it was a good day.

Today it was back to church and back to singing in the choir. Church has provided another avenue toward moving forward as we, once again, connected with many friends. Tomorrow is my monthly bridge game the the church as well.

Life is beginning to return to normal - whatever the "new normal" is to be,

We can move on - but it will never be the same...
