So what happened? Well, I've had better days. My visit to Mass Eye And Ear on Wednesday revealed that my eayes are not any better. And, in fact, have gotten a little worse. What does that translate into? It means that my eye meds have been stepped up and I need to try an eye medication that I was doing before but gave up because it was hurting my eyes even though it appeared to make my eyes better. Likewise, the doctor wishes me to consult with the doctor who is the pioneer of the sclero-lens - a special contact lens designed for people who suffer from dry eye. It's not a given that it will come to that because my doctor wishes to see me before that visit in order to assess how much(if any) progress is made in the next wonth. Also, I'm dangerously close to being very susceptible to eye infections so my doctor would like to to wear wraparound glasses when I go outside to reduce that possibility. As with all of this, prednisone is playing a big role in all that's happening. What a wonder drug it is! On the bright side, the crocuses are coming up and spring is on the way. New life once again and I get to see it... Bob

Home again safe and sound! After a great weekend in New York visting friends and renewing old acquaintances, we drove home today. Lousy weather accompanied us the entire way but it was rain and not snow so traveling was not as bad as it could have been. Upon arriving home, I did go and get my blood pressure taken and it was down somewhat from two weeks ago so I can only surmise that the little pill that I take is having a positive affect. Speaking of pills, I did get my immuno-supressant at my local pharmacy today. Also, I received a phone call from the mail provider as well staing that they were running a little slow but my prescription through them would be on its way in a week. So, instread of running out of meds, I'll be overrun with pills in a few weeks. From famine to feast as they say. I'm certainly not complaining. Another benefit was that the pills had a lower copay being only $7 instead of $40. Wednesday, it's back to Mass Eye And Ear again. We'll see what transpires there and what the future holds in store. Not much else to say other than it was great way to get away for a few days... Bob
