A nice two days!

We had company for dinner both nights and I completed another small task today as I get ready to tackle the room that is to be a combination guest room and art room. I guess that guests in their spare time will be able to pursue their art interests if they are so inclined. Actually, my wife needs a better environment to display her artwork so I will endeavor to provide it.

Yesterday saw a meeting in the morning and my last architectural history class in the afternoon. In a way I'm glad the class is over as I will be able to devote more time to doing household projects and/or enjoying summertime activities.

Tomorrow we do something totally different as we do an antique barn tour in one of the nearby towns. It should be a lot of fun and most certainly a change of pace. I'm looking forward to it.

Healthwise, there is nothing to really say and that is the way that it should be...

Two busy days!

Yesterday we prepared for our dinner crowd and had a great time at dinner last night. Today we went to our local minor league team's game with our grandson. An exciting affair won 1-0 with a walk off home run in the last of the eleventh. Tonight it was a barbecue at a friends and tomorrow it will be a docents meeting in the morning, my last class in the afternoon, and friends for dinner in the evening.

As I said before, it's great to be busy and enjoy what life has to offer. All of this is now on God's time which adds special meaning to each and every event. At times, I still find it hard to think that I have ever had this disease because life just seems to engulf you and you forget about everything that brought you to this point.

At least I do. I know that there are others who dwell on their misfortune and make it all consuming.

To me, that's not living...

A quiet two days!

But all that's about to change. We have 7 people coming for dinner tomorrow night, then we are invited to a barbecue on Wednesday night, and we have more friends for dinner on Thursday. So a busy week is in store for us.

In between I still have to finish upmy class and I hava meeting Thursday morning.

On top of all of that, the projects here at home keep mounting up so my life is far from dull. I never thought that I could be so busy when I wasn't working. I don't seem to have the time to fit in a 40 hour a week job. I guess that this is what true "retirement" is all about even though I am technically still employed.

Though I've had a few ups and downs along the way, all in all things are going well.

I have so much to be thankful for...
