It's been a fine 2 days!

Nothing of any real importance to impart. We went out to dinner with friends last night and played cards with friends tonight. Just being able to do such things is wonderful.

Before I forget, Happy Mother's Day to all you mothers out there(At least if you live here in the states)!

A real short entry as there is not a lot to say. The dentist is in a week and a half and the doctor in two and a half weeks.

Though I've still got a long way to go, everything is under control at this point.

Can't ask for more than that...

It's getting boring!

At this point there is really little of great importance to talk about or, should I say, write about. Every day is uneventful and the days when something of importance does occur are few and far between.

I'm feeling OK and have taken a little hiatus from working on projects which have basically occupied all of my time since last August. The next job will be the garage but I have to wait for warmer weather in ordeer to paint the garage floor. Another project has been added on when I came to find out that the garage ceiling is not insulated which creates a sauna in the summertime and a freezer in the wintertime. So, probably during the fall, I'll get to correcting that issue.

All in all, I'm looking for fun ways to occupy my time. With my docent class all done, i's getting near time to start doing my own tours. That will be of interest to me, but I'm not sure how much interest it will be for you.

I'll still endeavor to make these entries, however...

I'm a little weird!

That's right, along with liking to paint, I like to wash windows as well - which I did today. Granted, we only have about 13 windows to wash, but they need to be done just the same. Most people I know don't even want to clean 1 window, so I guess that I am really ahead of the game.

We had our friends from New York for dinner tonight whis=ch was compromised somewhat by the fact that we lost electrical power for about 2 hours due to high winds. Nevertheless, we got the meal cooked by using the barbecue and power came on just before we were scheduled to eat.

The meal was great, our friends were great, and life is great - there isn't much more to add to that. The rest of the day was devoted to just relaxing. It felt good to just focus on relaxation.

It was really a good day...

A beautiful ending!

To the weekend that is. What a wonderful day as the temperature hit 90 degrees outside. It certainly felt like summer.

At church this morning, our deacon who had the leukemia was back and delivered the sermon. She's doing great and it was so nice to talk with her afterwards at coffee hour. The prognosis for a full recovery is not in her favor as the docor said that her chances were somewhat less than 40%. But, that remains to be seen and she just lives everyday that she has. She does not worry about the disease because there is nothing that she can do about it's return - if that should happen. She and I are on the same page in that regard and it's good to be able to talk with someone who feels the same way that I do about the situation.

Yesterday was nice as well, culminating in a dinner at church in the evening. It was nice to be able to attend and to have the opportunity to talk with so many people once again.

What else can I say except that it's great to be alive...
