Still breathing well!

What a test of how well I have progressed over the past year and a half. As I said before, I am putting up crown molding in my living room/dining room area. This is on the first floor while all my saws, etc. are downstairs. So I have been cutting molding, going up stairs, seeing if the piece fits, going downstairs, shaving a bit off, going back upstairs, seeing if the piece fits, etc.

I don't know how many trips I have made up and down the stairs - not to mention how many times I have ascended and descended the step stool in order to reach the ceiling. In any case, I have had zero problems with breathing. A year and a half ago, I would have been exhausted. My legs would have felt like lead and I would have had to stop frequently to get myself going again.

Does this mean that I am hoem free? Far from it! But it's a great indication that things are going as well as they should be at this point in time. It's hard to determine where you stand when you are not visiting the doctor very frequently so I have to use whatever indicators that I can find.

My new life continues on. I went to the seventh of my ten training sessions to a docent for the Zimmerman House at the Currier Museum this morning. It seems like only yesterday that we just started the training - now they are looking for us to start booking tours in a month or so. Am I ready? I think so but I'll know a little bit more when I shadow a tour at the end of the month. It's one thing to lead a tour. It's whole other thing to lead a tour that people have actually paid real money to do. You want to make sure that they feel like they have gotten their money's worth when the tour is over.

But, all in all, our lives keep changing and, hopefully, we continue to grow. This is another new experience for me and a chance to step out and do something for others. Hopefully, we all benefit thereby. In truth, it's not what you know , it's what they think you know that matters!

Once again, I have managed to fill out a post when I had no idea what I was going to write when I sat down at the computer. God always provides.

I hope that you found it of interest...

Bob
