Halfway to paradise!!!!!
That's right, today is the halfway point in my(at least) 12 month recovery timeframe. I don't know what this all means but maybe I can now...
be out in half a crowd!
watch half a movie! -top half/bottom half? left half/right half? first half/second half?
eat half the food at a buffet!
eat half the salad at a salad bar!
attend half a church service!
work half a day!
Seriously, it is hard to imagine that six months have gone by since the day of my transplant. It is even more amazing that it has gone by so well. I keep hearing stories from people of those who have had transplants and encountered all kinds of problems. Why have I escaped all this?
Even so, six more months is still a long time and I've still got more miles to go.
Our friends left for their New York home today. It was so nice that they took the time to come and visit. I feel so guilty that I am not able to reciprocate at this time because we made plans for them to visit in another two months. It's a fairly long drive and I'll be grateful when the doctor gives me the OK to be able to drive down there.
It truly was a great weekend. A lot of sharing went on. That's what makes friendship so meaningful when you can really let your thoughts and feelings go and know that that's where it stays. I really love them, they are great people.
So, I guess the weekend was cause for two celebrations. It's great to be able to celebrate.
I have so much to be thankful for...
Bob
