A late post today!
We were playing cards with our friends; then went out to look for Mars in the night sky; and, lastly, watched the evening news. The Mars deal is really something as it will be the closest to the earth that it's ever been in recorded history and the closest it will be until the year 2287 at least. On August 27th, Mars should look as big as a full moon in the nighttime sky! Hopefully we will not have rain on that day.
Anyway, tonight's trip outside proved to be a bust as Mars should not reach it's highest point in the sky until 3 AM. On the 27th the azimuth is reached by 12:30 - a lot more convenient time. Thank you, Mars.
Other than that, it was a great day of movie watching, card playing, and conversation. What else do friends do?
I am feeling great and there are now only 10 days until my next doctor's visit. The time is slowly moving forward. And the milestones seem to get more significant! Next up - discontinuing one of my immuno-suppressants. What a treat that will be!
But it is hard to believe that the summer is coming to a close. Fall is alright, but....
I hate winter...
