You can't dodge them all!
Starting tomorrow and continuing into late Wednesday, from one to two feet of snow is expected to hit us! Where are we going to put it? In any case, I've rescheduled wednesday's doctor's appointment until the following Wednesday. If things continue as they seem have over the past few weeks, it should snow again next Wednesday as well.
So, what does one do under such circumstances? Well, I continue to work on my kitchen overhaul. Today, I completed the repainting of the room from yellow to green to better show off the new cabinet doors and end panels. Now I'll work on preparing for the new backsplash with and eye toward being ready for a Saturday installaton. I have to rent a wet saw to handle the tile cutting. I don't expect any more tile projects after this - so buying one doesn't make a lot of sense.
Dana=Farber will opened its new Yawkey Cancer Center today so it will be interesting to see how the new facilities compare with the old. For starters, it's now one floor for hematology and a second floor to see the doctor - it used to be in one confined area.
I have a few errands to run before the storm hits tomorrow(late morning) and then, once again, it'll be time to hunker down.
That's one thing that this winter has done is to make us hunker down experts.
One consolation in all of this is that January has finally come to an end.
As I said before, I have always hated January. It's the dead of winter with nothing on the horizon. With the coming of February, we can start to turn our eyes toward spring even if the snow is still falling. Baseball spring training starts in February - what better harbinger of good weather is there?
I can hardly wait...
