Soaked!

I had a Zimmerman House tour today and it started raining - check that - pouring near the end of the tour. I got wet getting onto the van and then soaked standing at the door to aid the passengers as they decended the steps to go back into the museum. And they chivalry is dead!

But the torrential rain still wouldn't stop and I finally gave up waiting and ran to my car which really soaked me to the skin. I suppose I shouldn't complain, however, as we've had no rain all summer. But it could have done us a huge favor and held off for an hour.

Yesterday, we took my grandson to the ballgame again and he slept overnight here and celebrated his 14th birthday with us today. Tonight his parents and his other grandparents were here for dinner to cap off the day.

Tomorrow we're off to the lake for the weekend. It promises to be cooler - daytime temps in the 70's and nighttime temps in the high 40's. Fall is a coming!

Twenty days until my next doctor's appointment, I wonder what my numbers will show...
