Not much to say!
We had one of our granddaughters with us the past twodays and it was wonderful to spend the time with her. We played games and did activities that we would not normally have done. Kids can make you feel young again - especially grandchildren.
As for me, yesterday was class day. Today I played hooky to take my granddaughter miniature golfing. Next week concludes the course and I'll be gald when it's over. Three days a week is too intense and limits my flexibility.
I still feel fine and am greatly enjoying this summer. We've had super summer weather and we've taken advantage of it with our day trips here and there throughout New England. Next month we travel to Maine with friends for a few days.
At this point, I just plain tend to completely forget about having had my disease. It currently plays no part in my life. And, I'm not worrying about its return either. I can't do anything about that, so I just try to live my life as if nothing had happened to me. I know that that is not entirely possible because so many people know my history and sometimes they bring up the matter.
A reformed smoker is not the same as a non-smoker and I can say that I am cancer free but I know it's different from never having had the disease at all.
You are forever changed and you now live the "new normal" as they say...
