An unusual occurrence!

Yes, we got stood up tonight by friends that we have been playing cards with for the past 20 years! We'll have to accept the fact that they "just plain forgot" and went to their daughter's house for pie!

When that's the highlight(?) of your weekend, you know that you are really grasping at straws here. Nothing of any importance happened.

However, tomorrow is a somewhat busy day. I have bridge in the afternoon and then the leukemia support group in the evening. I almost feel guilty going to the meeting because I have done so well and there are others who are not so fortunate who attend also attend. But, I suppose that success stories provide motivation for others to press on and to continue the battle.

Tuesday is a day at the Currier with a presentation and a luncheon to attend and Wednesday is a dentist appointment to get my teeth cleaned. So, a somewhat busy week ahead. Next weekend is my grandson's 8th grade graduation party and Father's Day. To me the graduation is the achievement. He has done so well and will be receiving some sort of award at the ceremony. He makes his parents and grandparents proud.

So much for bragging...
