Another birthday comes to a close!

It was a nice quiet day- the way that birthdays should be. I went to my granddaughter's lacrosse game this morning and then went to the "graduation" party for our docent class at the Zimmerman House this afternoon. Everyone there wished me a happy birthday which was much appreciated. Someone did ask me my age and when I told her - she couldn't believe it. I didn't know if I should take that as a positive or a negative! We'll assume that it was well intended.

I can help you guess my age when I say that I received an e-mail from a friend that I have known for 59 years and we were in school at the time we met. Nuf said!!!

The day was capped off with a Pizza Hut pizza for dinner. Now that says birthday to me!!!!

Since I was out most of the day, I missed a lot of the phone call from family wellwishers but I was home to receive the telephone call from Janne in Norway. What a wonderful surprise and what a wonderful person she is to think of me when she has so much going on in her life. It's a holiday weekend in Norway and she has family staying over - so it's a busy time. I would like to publicly thank her for the call and let her know how much I appreciated it.

Tomorrow, it's my grandson's baseball game and the a little celebration at my daughter's house as her daughter's birthday is Wednesday.

A fine day with, hopefully, many more like it to come...
