Good news on many fronts!

And not all for me, either. My ex-boss finally got a job after 17 months of effort. And effort is certainly the word to use here as he said that his spreadsheet showed that he had applied for about 270 jobs! I don't care what they say. Situations like this indicate that this economy still has a long way to go before we can say that we are back to where we want to be.

As for me, my insurance company formally extended my long term disability. I know that I say that I am feeling fine - and that is true! But, I still have some evidence of graft vs host disease and I am not out of the woods yet. It takes two full years after the bone marrow transplant before they feel that the cancer is fully in remission and I have nine months to go before that date occurs.

And, even though I do quite a bit around the house, I can stop whenever I want and work whenever I want - which I could not do at work. There are deadlines that must be met - sometimes dictating long hours! Presently, I'm not sure that I could keep up that pace for an extended period of time. In a year - who knows?

Only time will tell...
