Fifteen minutes of fame!

Well, maybe it was more like 50 seconds. But in any case the TV interview was broadcast today during the 5:00 news half hour. It can be found at http://www.wmur.com/health/22969326/details.html. There is a written article along with the resultant video from the all the information that was given on the day of the interview. I thought that it was well edited and well done. But, then again, that's what the people are paid for. Look for yourself. I don't necessarily think that I came out looking like Clark Gable(why? I don't know!). But Janne fared a lot better. This will give all of you a chance to see what she looks like.

That's obviously the biggest highlight of the day. But the most important fact to take away is that we need many more people to step up and offer to be bone marrow donors. Let's try to give everyone in need of a transplant the opportunity to have one. Will they all work? Unfortunately, no! But everyone deserves a chance.

I can only hope that the segment compels people to get themselves on the bone marrow donor list. Even if only one person is motivated by it - we will have accomplished something.

It's been a good day...

Bob
