Company!
That was the highlight of the day as friends came to visit this afternoon.
Tomorrow, it's back to work on my bathroom project which will has been in hiatus mode these past three days.
But the big event of the week for me will be Thursday night when I return to choir practice! It will be almost 16 months since the last time that I was there - I think that I'm long overdue. I have no idea what to expect but I do think that it will be somewhat emotional as I take another step back toward "normalcy". However, I won't be going to church until the 21st. I justwant to rehearse and be prepared for the day.
I still feel fine. That cold that I had a little while ago is gone.
As the 17th approaches(my 1 year bone marrow transplant anniversary), I don't anticipate jumping back into the thick of things. It's still going to be a ramp up situation. I have not yet been cleared to work, I will still try to avoid large crowds, etc. In fact, though it will be hard, I have to limit the hugging and handshaking when I return to church on the 21st. It's still flu season and I'm still on that minimal dose of immuno-suppressants. I still have to avoid getting infections, fevers, etc.
But that light at the end of the tunnel is rapidly getting bigger and bigger and bigger...
