Ah, yes! My prescription provider made a mistake! They never should have forwarded my prescription on to the other provider. They did so under the mistaken belief that I was on Medicare! When I stated this fact to the fellow on the phone last night, he got very uppety with me and stated that because my drug was classified as a class D Medicare drug - they always did this! When I stated that a prior prescription for this same drug was not handled this way, he said that that was the way that they do it.
So now my original provider has been advised that they are to fill the prescription as written. They have yet to do so as of a few minutes ago. So, tomorrow will require another phone call to straighten out the current situation.
Getting prescriptiond filled should be an easy task. Whatever happened to just going to the drug store, giving them the prescription, and walking away with your medication? I suppose that that is just too "inefficient" a system in this modern day and age of the internet. This whole process gives me pause to think about those people who do not have computers and access to the internet - what are they supposed to do?
Anyway, other than this ongoing battle, life is good even though the weather is not. I am feeling better and better each day. When I am through with this whole experience, I think that I am going to wonder why it took me a year-and-a-half to get back on my feet when I felt so good all the way along.
But, doctor's orders are doctor's orders, so I am doing as I have been told.
It's Wednesday and I must admit that not driving to Boston is becoming very easy to adapt to.
Another semi-uneventful day has come to an end and I inch ever closer to getting my life back...
