It ended up being a beautiful day. Though it was clear all day, the wind was really intense this morning making it somewhat difficult to sit outside. However, we did got for a walk this morning with our two grandchildren. That was really nice. Later in the day the wind subsided and it really was nice to sit out by the fire as the sun set over the lake.

As with last night, you could see fireworks displays all across the lake. At night, it makes for a wonderful sight. Otherwise, it was a relaxing day of reading and conversation. Tomorrow we go home as the weather is still supposed to be perfect once again.

It still is a little tough to stay out of the sun - especially on a day like today because it was so nice and warm in the sun. But I must - so I will. I have heard of several leukemia sufferers who have developed skin diseases from being out in the sun and I don't want that to happen to me!

I still feel great and I'm another day closer to full recovery. Even though there is still a long way to go, I can certainly look back and see that I have come an awfully long way. Yesterday was 8 months from the day that I entered the hospital and there are less than 8 months to go until my 1 year transplant anniversary so I am more than half way there. It's hard to imagine.

My last night at the lake for now...

Bob
