It's a real early entry for today as we are headed to friends in a little while to play bridge and catch up on things that have happened over the last several months. It sounds like there won't be much bridge playing with all that's gone on.
You are spared another episode in the long running prescription saga since today is Saturday and, of course, you are spared tomorrow as well.
It was nice most of the day and I spent some time outside in the late afternoon as the clouds rolled in and kept me from being exposed to too much sun. My wife buzz cut my hair today and I think that she is getting better and better at it with each new attempt. Not that there is much to really do for a buzz cut but I admit that you really have to keep it down as the longer it gets the more puff ball looking you get. Obviously, visits to a barber shop are out of the question for quite a while and, if I continue with the current look, I'll never have to go back again!
Other than a day of eating and reading, it was quiet as usual and I am still progressing well. Every once in a while, I hear stories of other leukemia patients who suffer from one or more side effects of the chemotherapy or the bone marrow transplant and I thank God that I have eluded them all. I'm looking forward to being off the immuno-suppressants in a few months so that I can limit my medication battles.
It feels strange to be doing this so early but I won't have to take the time to do it later when I might not feel so inclined after we get home.
So, until tomorrow...
Bob
