3 down – 2 to go!

A really uneventful day. My wife did manage to visit today and arrived around noon time. It lightly snowed here all day and they are saying that it will start again in earnest in the early morning which will most likely prevent her from coming here tomorrow. However, the weather for Monday is projected to be good so I should get to go home as planned.

My counts are still fine and I still feel fine. So basically, my activity has been nothing but finding ways to occupy the daytime hours. And this is compounded by the fact that hospital life on the weekends is very quiet.

So I am about to watch the Dallas-Baltimore football game tonight. Hopefully the result is more to the Patriot’s favor than Thursday night’s game. Go Dallas!

Good morning:
I am so glad to hear that things are going well-it makes it much easier, but the weather is another story. So far with the 12+inches of snow that we got in Milford yesterday and the 14+ projected for today, we have power! I felt so bad for the line men working on our street the other day I bought some cookies, a thank you card and put it in a nice basket and presented to them as a big Thank You. There are still some houses on our street without power, and the are working feverishly to get them up and functional. We have been home bound the last couple of days because of the weather and believe it or not I am really not going stir crazy (I do admit at times!). Friends of our just came in from FLA and visited last night, it was nice to have company. We are looking forward to your return home tomorrow and to see you on Christmas.
Love,
Mike, Jen and the kids

Hi Papa:
How is life at the hospital probably boring but they are helping you to get better. I am sooo excited to see you on Christmas. Are you excited that you are coming home tomorrow? I am so very truely excited!Am I allowed to give you a hug on Christmas? One of my Christmas wishes that I did not put on my 10 page list was to have you home for Christmas. So I know I am getting one of my presents.

Love from your oldest grand-daughter,

Maddie Parkhurst
